1. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: We use your phone number as a unique identifier to facilitate services. We do not require a password-protected account or profile.
- Location Data: We collect precise location data through your device's GPS to facilitate ride-booking, show nearby drivers, and set pickup points accurately. This data is collected only while the app is open and in use (foreground location).
- Session Data: We collect transient data related to your active ride request to ensure the service is completed.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To match you with available drivers.
- To provide fare estimates and calculate actual trip distance.
- To communicate ride status via push notifications.
- To prevent fraud and abuse of the platform.
- To send automated SMS or notifications to your device to verify your session and alert you when your driver has arrived.
3. Data Storage and History
- User-Facing History: For your privacy, this app does not display a history of your past rides.
- Identification: Your phone number is used only to facilitate the connection between you and a driver.
4. Sharing Your Information
- With Drivers: We share your phone number, pickup location, and drop-off location with the assigned driver to facilitate the transport service.
- Third-Party Services: We use OpenStreetMap (OSM) to provide navigation and location services. OSM may collect location data as part of their service, but we do not share any personally identifiable information with them.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect user safety.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Although we do not maintain traditional user profiles, we store your phone number in our system to provide services. You have the right to request that your phone number and associated service logs be permanently deleted from our database.
- Instant Self-Serve Deletion: You can instantly delete your account by clicking the "Request account deletion" link at the bottom of this page. You will receive an OTP via SMS to verify your identity, and upon verification, your data is immediately wiped from our active systems.
- Email Requests: Alternatively, you may request data deletion by contacting us at wubishetgirma@gmail.com. Emailed requests will be processed within 30 days.
6. Managing Permissions
You can grant or withdraw location and notification permissions at any time via your device's system settings.
